Let’s face it- subway tile will always be a thing, but when you’re ready to venture out beyond the world of the classic 3×6 rectangle, let us introduce you to our current favorite tile shape: picket tiles.

You can think of these guys as a slimmer, elongated hex:

So if you’re really into hexagon tiles at the moment (I know we are!), this is a great alternative!

This shape looks great laid vertically:

And in this beautiful braided pattern:

It’s pretty much just amazing any way you lay it.
